Rob Ankrah vs John Culp

Boxing Daily Report from the Bones Promotions promoted show at 16th Street Station, Oakland,  taking place on 02/06/2025:

Clearly Bones Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Rob Ankrah (0 - 0) who hails from Achiaman, Ghana and John Culp(4 - 1 - 1) from Phoenix, USA.  Both Ankrah and Culp weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Blake Travis, and the three ringside judges are Cris Villagomez, Jack Apted and Paul Herring.  

Round 1:

Ankrah throws a right hook, but the shot is blocked.  Ankrah clinches his opponent.  Ankrah uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Culp behind the head. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Ankrah to stop fouling.  
Ankrah closes the distance and is on target with a right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Culp's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.

Culp is looking to close the distance.  As Ankrah tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Culp dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Ankrah steps inside.  Ankrah pivots to the left of his opponent.  Culp digs in a left uppercut to his opponents body.  Ankrah ties up his opponent.  Ankrah is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Ankrah about fouling.
