Guido Sousa vs Tajo Rico

Boxing Daily Report from the Sumito Urayama's KO Kings promoted show at Arena Eurydes Bertoni Júnior, Sao Paulo,  taking place on 09/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Guido Sousa (11 - 4 - 4) who hails from Sao Paulo, Brazil and Tajo Rico(10 - 11 - 1) from Porto Alegre, Brazil.  Sousa weighed in at 200 pounds, while Rico weighed in at 199 pounds And 8 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Nasario Couto, and the three ringside judges are Vicente DaVilla, Orlando Cura and Rodrigo Paiva.  

Round 1: 

Sousa is on target with an overhand left.

Sousa connects with a cross.  Sousa throws a jab, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Rico steps inside.  Rico quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Sousa feints a jab, but Rico does not fall for it and responds with a right hook.
