Kieran Kirkwood vs Dai Ashley

Boxing Daily Report from the Melvin Grayshock Promotions promoted show at Melvin Gym, San Diego,  taking place on 30/05/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Kieran Kirkwood (5 - 0) who hails from Mobile, USA and Dai Ashley(9 - 6(1) - 7) from Nashville, USA.  Both Kirkwood and Ashley weighed in at 140 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Patrick Barro, and the three ringside judges are Glynn Flockhart, Joey Brice and Henry Franco.  

Round 1: 

Kirkwood lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Kirkwood ties up his opponent.  Kirkwood leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Kirkwood gets on the inside and hits home with a left hook.  
Kirkwood closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.  
Kirkwood lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Ashley is on target with a jab.  
Ashley tries to land a cross, but Kirkwood dodges the shot and counters with a right hook.

Ashley is looking to keep the action on the outside.  Kirkwood feints a jab, and then is on target with a cross.
