Agapetus Placido vs Isaac Macalindong

Boxing Daily Report from the ADR Boxing promoted show at Blue Eagle Gym, Quezon City,  taking place on 15/07/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Philippines-NCR Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Agapetus Manila Mauler Placido (10(7) - 0) who hails from Manila, Philippines and Isaac Macalindong(17 - 3(2)) from Quezon City, Philippines.  Both Placido and Macalindong weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Jerrold Garabiles, and the three ringside judges are Neron Calibugan, Leonardo Macapagal and Diego Agumabay.  

Round 1: 

Placido lands a double jab to his opponents body.  
Macalindong gets on the inside.  Placido hits home with a right hook.  
Placido is looking to keep his distance and lands three consecutive jabs to his opponents head.  
Macalindong gets on the inside.  Placido pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a firm left hook.

Macalindong is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. As they grapple, Macalindong pushes his forearm into Placido's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Macalindong about fouling.  
Macalindong tries to land a left uppercut, but Placido sidesteps and counters with a stinging left hook.

Macalindong is looking to close the distance.  Placido lands a stinging left hook.  Placido clinches his opponent.  Placido leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Placido's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Placido is looking to keep his distance and lands an overhand left to the head followed by a jab to the body.  
Macalindong advances into close range.  Macalindong connects with a right uppercut.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Macalindong dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Placido is on target with a right hook to his opponents body.  Placido holds on to his opponent.  The ref breaks Placido's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
