Boxing Daily Report from the Smoking Joe promoted show at Civic Auditorium, San Jose,  taking place on 23/06/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Joey Saam (3(1) - 0) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Jack Griffiths(6 - 11(2) - 3) from Lakewood, USA.  Both Saam and Griffiths weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Daniel Weir, and the three ringside judges are Will Ducat, Ricky Valle and Zuffur Sylla.  

Round 1: 

Saam advances into close range.  Saam sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Griffiths throws a right hook, but Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Saam advances into close range and digs in a left uppercut to Griffiths's ribs.  Saam holds on to his opponent.  Saam is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Saam.  
Saam lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Saam ties up his opponent.  Saam tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Griffiths behind the head. 
Griffiths advances into close range.  Saam drives a right uppercut into Griffiths's body.
