Javier Villicana vs Loredo Sabio

Boxing Daily Report from the Rattlesnake Promotions promoted show at Don Haskins Convention Center, El Paso,  taking place on 20/06/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fox Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Javier Villicana (16(8) - 1 - 1) who hails from Trujillo, Peru and Loredo Sabio(11 - 5(1) - 1) from Naucalpan, Mexico.  Villicana weighed in at 122 pounds, while Sabio weighed in at 121 pounds And 12 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Mike Ruane, and the three ringside judges are Orlando Merlin, James Crum and Corey Barnes.  

Round 1: 

Villicana closes the distance.  Sabio is on target with a left hook to Villicana's ribs.

Sabio quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Villicana digs in a solid right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Sabio pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Villicana lands a right uppercut, right hook and a left uppercut to his opponents body.  
Villicana attempts to land a left hook, but Sabio blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Villicana advances into close range.  Sabio sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Villicana attempts to land a right hook, but Sabio sidesteps and counters with a right hook to his opponents body.  
Sabio wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Villicana.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Villicana digs in a right uppercut to his opponents ribs.  
Villicana lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  Sabio quickly recovers. 
Villicana is on target with a stinging right uppercut to his opponents body.  SABIO WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  Villicana clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Villicana's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  Sabio quickly recovers. 
Villicana steps inside.  Sabio throws a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot.  Villicana holds on to his opponent.  Villicana leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.

Villicana thinks he can end the show early....he's looking to put Sabio away.  Villicana lands a left uppercut, left hook and a left uppercut to his opponents head, DROPPING SABIO TO THE CANVAS!  He makes it to one knee, but is unable to rise any further as the ref counts 10!  The winner by KO is Villicana!
