Floyd Karugaba vs Joel Mitambo

Boxing Daily Report from the Bos Firefighters promoted show at Kasarani indoor arena, Nairobi,  taking place on 21/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a final eliminator for the Eastern African Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Floyd Karugaba (15 - 4 - 1) who hails from Kampala, Uganda and Joel Mitambo(16(4) - 1(1)) from Lusaka, Zambia.  Karugaba weighed in at 147 pounds, while Mitambo weighed in at 146 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Rob Birdi, and the three ringside judges are Yobachi Rubia, Joe Mwirichia and Leon Cassam.  

Round 1:
