Luis Pavon vs Nazar Ekici

Boxing Daily Report from the Frank Smith’s Tea Boy Promotions promoted show at Frank Gym, Manchester,  taking place on 05/07/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Luis Pavon (8 - 0) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Nazar Ekici(0 - 7 - 1) from Istanbul, Turkey.  Pavon weighed in at 125 pounds and 10 ounces, while Ekici weighed in at 126 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Elliot, and the three ringside judges are Cody Biggs, William Taylor and Michael Beretta.  

Round 1: 

Pavon is looking to close the distance.  Pavon pivots to the right of his opponent.  Ekici throws a right hook, but Pavon ties up his opponent.  Pavon pushes his forearm into Ekici's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Pavon about fouling.

Ekici gets on the inside.  Pavon pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a left hook into Ekici's liver.
