Edmundo Ponce vs Diego Canizares

Boxing Daily Report from the Mfune Promotions promoted show at Desiderio Quezada Gym, Mendoza,  taking place on 28/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Argentina-Buenos Aires Super Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Edmundo Ponce (9 - 2) who hails from La Plata, Argentina and Diego Canizares(5 - 7 - 3) from Buenos Aires, Argentina.  Both Ponce and Canizares weighed in at 168 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Montana Becerra, and the three ringside judges are Reynaldo Astorga, Neper Valencia and Angel Amado.  

Round 1: 

Canizares throws an overhand left, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a right hook.
