Owen Merrick vs John Warden

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Kentucky promoted show at Lexington Magill, Lexington,  taking place on 17/06/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the USA-Kentucky Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Owen Merrick (10(2) - 3) who hails from Lexington, USA and John Warden(9 - 5 - 3) from Louisville, USA.  Merrick weighed in at 159 pounds and 8 ounces, while Warden weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Leon Prosser, and the three ringside judges are Matthew Hatt, Michael Harkins and Dave Stark.  

Round 1: 

Merrick gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the body, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Warden pivots to the right of his opponent.  Merrick lands a left uppercut to the head followed by two left hook's to the body.  
Merrick lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.
