Zachary Boakye vs Chris Agbeko

Boxing Daily Report from the Coetzee Promotions promoted show at Kumasi Kuma, Kumasi,  taking place on 19/06/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Ghana-Ashanti Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on bTV Action, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Zachary Boakye (13 - 1) who hails from Kumasi, Ghana and Chris Agbeko(14 - 3 - 2) from Kumasi, Ghana.  Both Boakye and Agbeko weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Otieno Adomah, and the three ringside judges are Louis Nkrumah, Faraji Anyidoho and Rob Yeboah.  

Round 1: 

Boakye advances into close range.  Boakye pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  
Boakye closes the distance and throws a left hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Boakye ties up his opponent.  Boakye pushes his forearm into Agbeko's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Boakye.
