Neville Damita vs Ibrahim Nagi

Boxing Daily Report from the Quick Tan Promotions promoted show at Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg,  taking place on 20/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Neville Damita (12(3) - 0) who hails from Douala, Cameroon and Ibrahim Nagi(8 - 6 - 3) from Khouribga, Morocco.  Both Damita and Nagi weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Masina, and the three ringside judges are Bernardus Hertzog, Jackson Mnyamane and Here Van Heerden.  

Round 1: 

Damita drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Damita steps inside.  Damita connects with a right uppercut.  Damita clinches his opponent.  Damita pushes his forearm into Nagi's face.  The referee warns Damita and breaks the clinch.  The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Nagi dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Damita drives a left hook into his opponents body.  Damita holds on to his opponent.  Damita leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Damita tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Nagi's kidney. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Damita.  
Damita lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents body.  He follows up the attack and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Damita walks Nagi into a corner.  Damita lands a left hook, right uppercut and a right hook to his opponents body.  
Damita pivots from in front of his opponent and lands two left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Damita digs in a right hook to Nagi's ribcage.  
Damita lands with a spiteful jab.  
Damita quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a spiteful jab.  
Nagi closes the distance.  Damita lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Damita pivots to the right of his opponent.  Nagi throws a left uppercut, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Nagi tries to land a left hook, but Damita blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Damita advances into close range.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Nagi has taken some damage there.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.  
Damita is on target with a right hook to Nagi's ribcage.  
Damita walks Nagi down, trapping him in a corner.  Damita digs in a right hook to Nagi's ribcage.  
Nagi is on target with a left hook to his opponents ribs.  
Nagi gets on the inside and throws a left hook, but Damita clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.
