Takeshi Chiba vs Hiro Sawa

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Japan-Osaka promoted show at Osaka Hattori, Osaka,  taking place on 23/06/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Osaka Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Sky-A Sports, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Takeshi Chiba (7 - 2 - 2) who hails from Toyonaka, Japan and Hiro Sawa(6 - 3 - 1) from Higashiosaka, Japan.  Both Chiba and Sawa weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Fumio Shiba, and the three ringside judges are Jun Nakahara, Jun Nakahara and Yuji Koizumi.  

Round 1: 

Sawa gets on the inside.  Chiba quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Sawa throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Chiba time to recover.
