Rashid Khan vs Dominic Opaleye

Boxing Daily Report from the Isahakyan Promotions promoted show at Ilesa Esin, Ilesa,  taking place on 05/07/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  On the line tonight is the Nigeria-Osun State Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rashid Khan (14 - 0 - 1) who hails from Ife, Nigeria and Dominic Opaleye(3 - 10 - 5) from Ife, Nigeria.  Khan weighed in at 236 pounds and 5 ounces, while Opaleye weighed in at 230 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Asif Shakir, and the three ringside judges are Seth Siewari, Mohsin Ghanem and Irfan Zogby.  

Round 1: 

Opaleye cuts off the ring, trapping Khan on the ropes.  Opaleye throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Khan hits home with a right hook.  
Opaleye tries to land a left hook, but Khan slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.
