Edwyn Wyburn vs Mike Kane

Boxing Daily Report from the Elite Prizefighters promoted show at Liverpool Ghilardotti, Liverpool,  taking place on 19/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Edwyn Wyburn (2 - 0) who hails from Bradford, UK and Mike Kane(0 - 1 - 2) from Birmingham, UK.  Both Wyburn and Kane weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is John Magee, and the three ringside judges are Matt McFee, Colin Bowen and Brad Scroggins.  

Round 1: 

Wyburn gets on the inside and drives a right hook into Kane's body.  Wyburn clinches his opponent.  Wyburn is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Wyburn.  
Kane throws a right uppercut, but Wyburn holds on to his opponent.  Wyburn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Wyburn sidesteps to the left of his opponent and is on target with a left uppercut to Kane's body.  
Wyburn lands a cross.  
Wyburn steps inside and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents head.  
Kane is looking to close the distance.  Wyburn lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Wyburn lands a right hook.  
Wyburn forces Kane to back into the corner.  Wyburn hits home with a left hook.  
Wyburn gets on the inside.  Wyburn wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.  Kane has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight swelling  around the left eye.  
Wyburn pivots to the side of his opponent.  Kane lands a jab.  Kane attempts to land a right hook, but Wyburn blocks the shot and counters with a cross.

Wyburn connects with a right hook.  Wyburn clinches his opponent.  Wyburn is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Wyburn's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wyburn digs in a right hook to his opponents ribs.

Wyburn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Wyburn lands a right hook to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Kane sidesteps to the left of his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Wyburn advances into close range and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  Wyburn clinches his opponent.  Wyburn leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks Wyburn's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Wyburn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and connects with a right hook.  
Wyburn pivots to the side of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into his opponents body.  Kane wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent! The two boxers are fighting in-close, but their heads clash!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Wyburn dabs at his face checking for damage.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Wyburn.  That has caused a slight cut in the corner of.  
Kane hits home with a right hook.  
Wyburn lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.

Wyburn lowers his hands, trying to provoke his opponent to attack.  Kane tries to land a cross, but Wyburn parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Wyburn hits home with a left hook.  
Kane throws a right uppercut, but Wyburn holds on to his opponent.  Wyburn uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Kane behind the head. The referee warns Wyburn and breaks the clinch.  
Wyburn quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Wyburn lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Wyburn is on target with a left hook to Kane's ribs.  
Wyburn lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Kane advances into close range and tries to land a left uppercut, but Wyburn sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Wyburn closes the distance and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.
