Valeri Avots vs Aleksandr Matisons

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Latvia-Riga promoted show at Zernebog Chakste Gym, Riga,  taking place on 27/06/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Latvia Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Viasat Sport Baltic, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Valeri Avots (4 - 3) who hails from Riga, Latvia and Aleksandr Matisons(4 - 9) from Riga, Latvia.  Avots weighed in at 134 pounds and 8 ounces, while Matisons weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Goga Banga, and the three ringside judges are Fadei Zvaigznite, Arseni Sausaismarcis and Georgiy Rieksts.
