Santiago Amparan vs Joaquin Martha

Boxing Daily Report from the Asante Promotions promoted show at Maracaibo Resto, Maracaibo,  taking place on 02/07/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Venezuela Bantamweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Santiago Amparan (13 - 3) who hails from Cabimas, Venezuela and Joaquin Martha(10 - 7 - 1) from Maracaibo, Venezuela.  Amparan weighed in at 117 pounds And 5 ounces, while Martha weighed in at 118 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Hilario Florian, and the three ringside judges are Diego Mato, Jose Monzon and Jax Sicilia.  

Round 1: 

Martha quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Amparan throws a jab, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Amparan has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused slight damage to the nose.
