Boxing Daily Report from the AI China-Shanghai promoted show at Shanghai Shaw, Shanghai,  taking place on 30/06/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Wen Baey (5(3) - 0) who hails from Dingzhou, China and Wang Lau(3 - 8 - 5) from Taizhou, China.  Both Baey and Lau weighed in at 108 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Dewei Fu, and the three ringside judges are Zhong Yang, Sun Tie and Confucius Fok.  

Round 1: 

Baey steps inside and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Baey is looking to close the distance and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  
Lau is on target with a jab.  
Baey drives a solid right uppercut into his opponents body.  
Baey lands a right hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  
Baey steps inside and drives a stinging left uppercut into Lau's liver.  
Baey steps inside and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Baey lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.  Baey holds on to his opponent.  Baey pushes his forearm into Lau's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Baey closes the distance and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a right hook to the head.  Baey holds on to his opponent.  Baey tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Lau behind the head. The referee separates the two fighters and warns Baey.

Baey manouvers his opponent onto the ropes.  Baey digs in a stinging left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Baey clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Baey pushes his forearm into Lau's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Baey about fouling.  
Baey lands a right hook to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Baey lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Baey is on target with a solid left hook to Lau's ribs.  Baey holds on to his opponent.  Baey leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Baey closes the distance and lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Baey drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Baey walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Baey lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body, AND SENDS LAU SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.

Baey lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Baey lands a right hook followed by  two left hooks to his opponents body.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Lau's trainer is telling his fighter he is being outworked and needs to throw more.  Lau's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.

Baey walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Baey throws a right hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Baey holds on to his opponent.  Baey is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Baey closes the distance and lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Baey digs in a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Baey advances into close range and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.
