Chuong Vien vs Aoi Obara

Boxing Daily Report from the Ekstein Promotions promoted show at Takeshi Oda Gym, Fukuoka,  taking place on 23/07/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 8 round matchup are Chuong Vien (2 - 0) who hails from Hanoi, Vietnam and Aoi Obara(1 - 1 - 3) from Nagoya, Japan.  Both Vien and Obara weighed in at 115 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Takeshi Murayama, and the three ringside judges are Ryuu Komatsu, Fumio Hara and Ryo Kaba.  

Round 1: 

Vien sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a left uppercut into Obara's ribs.  
Vien walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Vien pivots to the side of his opponent and is on target with a right hook.  
Vien steps inside and lands a right uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.
