Saad Zafar vs Sadewa Hariyanto

Boxing Daily Report from the Thiongo Promotions promoted show at Batam Wanandi, Batam,  taking place on 22/06/2025:

Clearly Thiongo Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 4 round matchup are Saad Zafar (1 - 0) who hails from Kediri, Indonesia and Sadewa Hariyanto(0 - 1 - 1) from Batam, Indonesia.  Both Zafar and Hariyanto weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Banyu Agustiawan, and the three ringside judges are Cahya Alim, Bakti Setiawan and Ken-dedes Agamal.  

Round 1: 

Zafar is looking to close the distance.  Hariyanto pivots from in front of his opponent.  Zafar lands a left hook to the head followed by a left uppercut to the body.  
Zafar lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Zafar manouvers his opponent into a corner.  Zafar sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.  
Zafar connects with a cross.  Zafar attempts to land a cross, but Hariyanto slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Zafar lands a left hook.  
Zafar digs in a left hook to Hariyanto's liver.  
Zafar steps inside and lands a left hook.  
Zafar lands a left hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Zafar advances into close range and is on target with a left hook.  
Zafar lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  Zafar clinches his opponent.  Zafar is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Zafar to stop fouling.  
Hariyanto is on target with a left hook.  Zafar holds on to his opponent.  Zafar hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Zafar digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  Zafar holds on to his opponent.  Zafar leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  As Hariyanto tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Zafar dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Zafar closes the distance.  Hariyanto hits home with a right hook.  Zafar holds on to his opponent.  Zafar leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Zafar's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Zafar gets on the inside and lands a left uppercut followed by  two left hooks to his opponents head.  
Zafar connects with a stinging right uppercut.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Hariyanto's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Hariyanto's trainer is telling his fighter to tighten his defence.
