Elton Jappa vs Georgiy Gadjibabayev

Boxing Daily Report from the Central Asia Promotions promoted show at Toshkent Shirinov, Toshkent,  taking place on 22/07/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Elton Jappa (8 - 0) who hails from Toshkent, Uzbekistan and Georgiy Gadjibabayev(10 - 9 - 2) from Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Jappa weighed in at 225 pounds and 10 ounces, while Gadjibabayev weighed in at 226 pounds and 14 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Khudayar Kazmi, and the three ringside judges are Ahmed Saryev, Ramil Ayub and Khosrov Arablinskij.  

Round 1: 

Jappa gets on the inside and connects with a right hook.  
Jappa sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.

Jappa pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Jappa pivots from in front of his opponent.  Gadjibabayev throws a left uppercut, but Jappa holds on to his opponent.  Jappa pushes his forearm into Gadjibabayev's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Jappa.  
Jappa hits home with a left hook.  
Jappa hits home with a right hook.  
Jappa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Jappa digs in a right hook to Gadjibabayev's ribs.  
Gadjibabayev attempts to land a jab, but Jappa sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Jappa walks his opponent down, trapping him in a corner.  Jappa hits home with a right hook.  
Jappa gets on the inside.  Jappa pivots to the right of his opponent.  Jappa throws a right uppercut, but is not on target.  Jappa holds on to his opponent.  Jappa hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The referee warns Jappa and breaks the clinch.  
Gadjibabayev throws a left hook, but is unable to get through his opponents guard.  Jappa ties up his opponent.  Jappa leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Jappa's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Jappa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Jappa advances into close range.  Jappa pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  
Jappa connects with a cross.  
Jappa is looking to close the distance.  Jappa sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Gadjibabayev throws a left hook, but Jappa clinches his opponent.  Jappa hits his opponent with a kidney shot within the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Jappa quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent andJappa wants to work on the inside, but accidentally clashes heads with his opponent!  The ref does not appear to have noticed the clash as Gadjibabayev dabs at his face checking for damage.  
Jappa throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Jappa ties up his opponent.  Jappa is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee warns Jappa and breaks the clinch.  
Jappa lands a left hook.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Gadjibabayev's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Gadjibabayev's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Gadjibabayev's trainer is advising how he could improve his defence.
