Waleed Rafiev vs Azam Bangura

Boxing Daily Report from the Feruka Promotions promoted show at Tabriz Baccus, Tabriz,  taking place on 22/07/2025:

Clearly Feruka Promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Iran-East Azerbaijan Middleweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Waleed Rafiev (14 - 4) who hails from Tabriz, Iran and Azam Bangura(11 - 2 - 4) from Tabriz, Iran.  Both Rafiev and Bangura weighed in at 160 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shayan Galla, and the three ringside judges are Kamran Diab, Mohsin Sesay and Zain Topchubashov.

Rafiev has taken some damage from that accidental headbutt.  That has caused minor swelling  around the right eye.
