Odin Westgard vs Elliot Forsgren

Boxing Daily Report from the Valhalla promotions promoted show at Grand Central, Stockholm,  taking place on 04/07/2025:

Clearly Valhalla promotions have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Odin Westgard (1 - 0) who hails from Oslo, Norway and Elliot Forsgren(0 - 2) from Stockholm, Sweden.  Both Westgard and Forsgren weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Otto Nordstrom, and the three ringside judges are Oscar Berwald, Tage Roden and Melvin Backlund.  

Round 1: 

Westgard gets on the inside.  Westgard pivots to the right of his opponent.  Westgard lands a double right hook to his opponents head.  Westgard ties up his opponent.  Westgard pushes his forearm into Forsgren's face.  The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Westgard closes the distance.  Forsgren throws a right uppercut, but Westgard holds on to his opponent.  As they grapple, Westgard pushes his forearm into Forsgren's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Westgard to stop fouling.  
Westgard is looking to close the distance and lands a left hook.  Westgard ties up his opponent.  Westgard is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Westgard's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Forsgren is on target with a left uppercut.  
Westgard advances into close range and hits home with a left hook.  
Westgard manages to force Forsgren into a corner.  Westgard sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Westgard closes the distance.  Forsgren throws a left hook, but Westgard clinches his opponent.  Westgard is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks Westgard's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Westgard manouvers Forsgren into the blue corner.  Westgard drives a sharp right uppercut into his opponents ribs.  
Westgard lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Westgard lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Westgard pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Westgard feints a jab, and then lands a left hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Forsgren hits home with a right hook.  Westgard ties up his opponent.  Westgard tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Forsgren's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Westgard to stop fouling.

At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Forsgren's trainer is telling his fighter he needs to be more active or he's going to get outworked.  Forsgren's trainer is passing on some tactical advice.  Forsgren's trainer is advising how he could stop so many clean shots getting through.
