Kian Ewing vs Davie Fenderson

Boxing Daily Report from the AI New Zealand-Auckland promoted show at Waitakere Gath, Waitakere,  taking place on 26/06/2025:

Clearly AI New Zealand-Auckland have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the New Zealand-Auckland Welterweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Kian Ewing (7 - 6 - 1) who hails from Manukau, New Zealand and Davie Fenderson(10 - 5 - 2) from Waitakere, New Zealand.  Both Ewing and Fenderson weighed in at 147 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Justin Kahukakanui, and the three ringside judges are Declan Haturini, Cole Hathorn and Will Mellas.  

Round 1: 

Ewing lands an overhand left followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Ewing lands a cross followed by a right hook to his opponents head.

Fenderson steps to the outside.  Ewing lands a cross, jab and a cross to his opponents head.

The ref separates the two fighters.  As the two fighters work on the inside, their heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    That accidental headbutt has resulted in some damage to Fenderson.  That has caused minor swelling  around the left eye.
