Rico Natividad vs Montenegro Chia

Boxing Daily Report from the Darbenyan Promotions promoted show at Jose Ruano Gym, Acapulco,  taking place on 26/07/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a semi final eliminator for the Mexico-Guerrero Light Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Rico Natividad (18 - 1 - 1) who hails from Acapulco, Mexico and Montenegro Chia(8 - 6) from Acapulco, Mexico.  Natividad weighed in at 108 pounds, while Chia weighed in at 107 pounds and 7 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Jerrold Santibanez, and the three ringside judges are Fidel Molina, Santiago Verduzco and Santiago Verduzco.  

Round 1: 

Chia advances into close range.  Natividad hits home with a right uppercut.  Natividad ties up his opponent.  Chia is using his forearm in the clinch.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Chia to stop fouling.
