Ulises Ocanas vs Juan Ribas

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Venezuela-Aragua promoted show at Maracay Siman, Maracay,  taking place on 02/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Venezuela-Aragua Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Meridiano TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Ulises Ocanas (14 - 1 - 1(NC)) who hails from Maracay, Venezuela and Juan Ribas(14 - 4 - 2) from Maracay, Venezuela.  Both Ocanas and Ribas weighed in at 112 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Santiago Collazo, and the three ringside judges are Diego Hernandes, Alejandro Laurel and Diego Hernandes.  

Round 1: 

Ocanas is looking to close the distance and lands a firm left hook.
