Hayden Matombo vs Chris Kapinda

Boxing Daily Report from the African Fusion promoted show at Morris Depot Police Camp, Harare,  taking place on 07/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Zimbabwe-Harare Lightweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on DStv, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Hayden Matombo (13(1) - 2 - 2) who hails from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe and Chris Kapinda(8(1) - 3 - 2) from Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe.  Matombo weighed in at 134 pounds and 13 ounces, while Kapinda weighed in at 135 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Paul Moyo, and the three ringside judges are Lado Nkala, James Mupariwa and Darryl Sibanda.
