Lee Lennert vs Edward Brattin

Boxing Daily Report from the AI USA-Illinois promoted show at Chicago Dewey, Chicago,  taking place on 04/08/2025:

Clearly AI USA-Illinois have made a mistake booking this venue with less than half the tickets sold, including those handed out as prizes by Boxing Daily.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the USA-Great Lakes Super Flyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on Fight Now TV, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Lee Lennert (17(6) - 4(1)) who hails from Cleveland, USA and Edward Brattin(8 - 4 - 3) from Chicago, USA.  Lennert weighed in at 115 pounds, while Brattin weighed in at 114 pounds and 5 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Zachary Hetrick, and the three ringside judges are Sam Touch, Lucas McGowan and Davie Grocholski.  

Round 1: 

Lennert forces Brattin to back into the blue corner.  Lennert connects with a left hook.  Lennert throws a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a cross.

Brattin tries to step out of his opponents range and is on target with a jab.  
Brattin attempts to land a jab, but Lennert sidesteps and counters with a sharp right uppercut to Brattin's body.  
Brattin steps to the outside and connects with an overhand left.

Lennert gets on the inside.  Lennert pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  
Lennert drives a stinging left hook into Brattin's body.  As Brattin tries to work on the inside, the fighters heads come together!  The ref acknowledges the accidental headclash but allows the action to continue.    It looks like the clash of heads has caused some damage to Lennert.  That has caused slight swelling  around the right eye.  
Brattin tries to step out of his opponents range and lands an overhand right.  
Lennert digs in a potent right hook to Brattin's ribs.  BRATTIN IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  HE TRIES TO RISE BUT HIS LEGS DONT RESPOND...THE COUNT REACHES 10!  The winner by KO is Lennert!
