Cipriano Pelaez vs Berto Mateos

Boxing Daily Report from the Rourke & Salvador promoted show at Patin�dromo Municipal, Mar del Plata,  taking place on 05/09/2025:

The venue is mostly sold out with the fans eager to turn out for tonights fights.  
Next up is the main event of the show.  This is a mandatory fight for the South American Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on America Sports, the two fighters competing in this 12 round matchup are Cipriano Pelaez (19(14) - 0 - 1) who hails from Córdoba, Argentina and Berto Mateos(21(1) - 2) from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  Pelaez weighed in at 254 pounds and 3 ounces, while Mateos weighed in at 241 pounds and 3 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Ponce Pomar, and the three ringside judges are Venacio Reyna, Frisco Manco and Noe Moraga.
