Lee Slatter vs Davie Jones

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Jamaica-Saint Andrew promoted show at New Kingston Couden, New Kingston,  taking place on 23/07/2025:

There are plenty of empty seats out here tonight, with the show nowhere near close to selling out.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on SportsMax, the two fighters competing in this 6 round matchup are Lee Slatter (4 - 0) who hails from New Kingston, Jamaica and Davie Jones(5 - 6 - 1) from Portmore, Jamaica.  Both Slatter and Jones weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Nathan Law, and the three ringside judges are Sam Richie, James Wands and Dave Blackard.  

Round 1: 

Slatter pivots to the side of his opponent.  Jones throws a left hook, but Slatter ties up his opponent.  Slatter is using his forearm in the clinch.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Slatter switches the action to the outside and lands an overhand left.  
Slatter advances into close range.  Jones pivots from in front of his opponent.  Slatter is on target with a right hook.  
Slatter closes the distance.  Slatter pivots to the side of his opponent.  Jones drives a left hook into Slatter's body.

Jones gets on the inside and tries to land a left hook, but Slatter blocks the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Slatter backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Jones tries to tag Slatter on the ropes, but his opponent blocks every shot!

Jones advances into close range.  Slatter lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Slatter steps inside and lands a right uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Slatter lands a right hook to the body, and then to the head.  He then lands two right hooks to his opponents ribs.

Jones attempts to land a left hook, but Slatter sidesteps and counters with a right uppercut.
