Yoshi Hashimoto vs Jun Shimomura

Boxing Daily Report from the Gold Coast Promotions promoted show at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Tokyo,  taking place on 16/08/2025:

There are a few empty seats out here tonight, but this is a respectable turnout for the show.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  This is a mandatory fight for the Japan-Tokyo Heavyweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance and those watching live on TV Tokyo, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Yoshi Hashimoto (9 - 3 - 6) who hails from Tokyo, Japan and Jun Shimomura(18 - 4 - 1) from Tokyo, Japan.  Hashimoto weighed in at 240 pounds and 8 ounces, while Shimomura weighed in at 242 pounds and 15 ounces.  
The referee tonight is Kaede Tsuchida, and the three ringside judges are Dai Fujita, Isamu Nonaka and Isamu Shibuya.
