Azam Farooq vs Kris Ju

Boxing Daily Report from the AI Malaysia-Sarawak promoted show at Kuching Tahir, Kuching,  taking place on 27/08/2025:

The venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have one of the supporting contests of this show.  On the line tonight is the Malaysia-Selangor Super Featherweight title.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 10 round matchup are Azam Farooq (10 - 7 - 3) who hails from Shah Alam, Malaysia and Kris Ju(8 - 8 - 2) from Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.  Both Farooq and Ju weighed in at 130 pounds.  
The referee tonight is Shayan Hossain, and the three ringside judges are Malik Salloum, Kamran Tabet and Ibrahim Baccus.  

Round 1: 

Ju is looking to keep his distance and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Farooq sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.
