Robert Roose vs Stephen McClay

Boxing Daily Report from the USA National Finals 2022,  taking place on 29/04/2022 from Knoxville, USA:

The Knoxville venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Robert Roose (29 - 1) who hails from Phoenix, USA and Stephen McClay(12(1) - 6) from Green Bay, USA.  

Round 1:

McClay throws a left hook, but Roose ties up his opponent.  As they grapple, McClay pushes his forearm into Roose's face.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

McClay walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Roose is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  
McClay closes the distance and tries to land a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.

McClay gets on the inside and throws a right hook, but Roose holds on to his opponent.  McClay uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Roose behind the head. Roose is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Roose pushes his forearm into McClay's face.  The referee warns Roose and breaks the clinch.  
McClay is on target with a firm right hook to Roose's ribs.  
McClay is looking to close the distance and throws a left hook, but Roose holds on to his opponent.  McClay leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref separates the two fighters.
