Ignado Meraz vs Vidal Barreto

Boxing Daily Report from the Mexico National Finals 2024,  taking place on 11/04/2024 from Reynosa, Mexico:

The Reynosa venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Ignado Meraz (19 - 11) who hails from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and Vidal Barreto(20(1) - 18(1)) from Juarez, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Barreto steps inside.  Meraz attempts to land a left hook, but Barreto blocks the shot and counters with a solid left uppercut.  
Barreto closes the distance and is on target with a left hook.

Barreto attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref stops the action and gives Meraz time to recover.
