Denzel Faress vs Quaddus Dube

Boxing Daily Report from the South Africa National Finals 2024,  taking place on 29/04/2024 from Tembisa, South Africa:

The Tembisa venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Denzel Faress (14(1) - 21) who hails from Soweto, South Africa and Quaddus Dube(8 - 5) from Soweto, South Africa.  

Round 1: 

Dube hits home with a left hook.

Dube sidesteps to the right of his opponent and hits home with a cross.  
Faress steps away from his opponent and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Dube steps inside and hits home with a right hook.  
Dube steps inside and manages to force Faress onto the ropes.  Dube pivots from in front of his opponent and digs in a stinging right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Dube is looking to keep the action on the outside and hits home with a stinging cross.  
Faress feints a left, and then attempts to land a left hook, but Dube slips the shot and counters with a left uppercut to Faress's body.  
Faress quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Dube throws an overhand left, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Dube switches the action to the outside and tries to land an overhand left, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Dube strikes his opponents body with a solid cross.  
Dube closes the distance and manages to force Faress onto the ropes.  Dube pivots to the left of his opponent, but Faress connects with a left uppercut.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Faress's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!  Dube's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.
