Boxing Daily Report from the Zimbabwe National Finals 2024,  taking place on 02/05/2024 from Harare, Zimbabwe:

The Harare venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have the Final of the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dale Coetzee (19 - 12) who hails from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe and Edward Mpoful(11 - 12) from Harare, Zimbabwe.

Coetzee steps to the outside and lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  He follows up the attack and lands an overhand right followed by a jab to his opponents head.

Mpoful manouvers Coetzee onto the ropes.  Mpoful pivots from in front of his opponent and connects with a cross.  
Coetzee lands a ramrod jab.  
Mpoful forces Coetzee to retreat onto the ropes.  Coetzee finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Coetzee tries to step out of his opponents range and lands with a spiteful jab.

Mpoful sidesteps to the right of his opponent and drives a stiff jab into his opponents face.  
Coetzee hits home with an overhand right.  
Mpoful advances into close range and forces Coetzee to retreat into the corner.  Coetzee lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  
Mpoful sidesteps to the left of his opponent and connects with a solid right uppercut.
