Jawad Nasr vs Umair Jermanus

Boxing Daily Report from the Yemen National Finals 2025,  taking place on 26/04/2025 from Al Hudaydah, Yemen:

The Al Hudaydah venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Jawad Nasr (39(8) - 21) who hails from Sana'a, Yemen and Umair Jermanus(16(2) - 20) from Al Hudaydah, Yemen.  

Round 1: 

Jermanus hits home with a left uppercut.

Nasr pivots to the right of his opponent and connects with a left hook.  
Jermanus throws a jab, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm cross.  
Jermanus lands a firm right hook.  
Nasr steps inside and lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Nasr slams a nasty right hook into Jermanus's ribs.  JERMANUS IS HURT!  Jermanus quickly recovers. 
Nasr forces Jermanus to retreat onto the ropes.  Nasr lands a solid cross.  
Jermanus tries to step out of his opponents range.  Nasr lands a cross.

Jermanus digs in a right hook to Nasr's ribcage.  
Nasr lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Jermanus contemptuously drops his hands, trying to provoke his opponent.  Nasr connects with a cross.  
Jermanus pivots to the left of his opponent and connects with a firm right hook.  
Nasr lands a jab to the head, a cross to the head and a right hook to the body.  
Jermanus walks Nasr into a neutral corner.  Jermanus lands a stinging jab.  
Nasr advances into close range and slams a hurtful right uppercut into Jermanus's body.  JERMANUS WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Nasr is looking to force the stoppage!  Nasr lands a left hook to the body followed by a cross to the head.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body, AND JERMANUS IS KNOCKED DOWN!  He manages to get up at 4.  
Jermanus hits home with a ramrod jab.  
Jermanus tries to keep the action at long range.  Nasr knows Jermanus is hurt...he is putting the pressure on now, looking for the stoppage.  Nasr lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body, AND DROPS JERMANUS!  He unsteadily tries to get up but is unable to beat the 10 count!  The winner by KO is Nasr!
