John Henri vs Michael Rust

Boxing Daily Report from the Canada National Finals 2026,  taking place on 14/03/2026 from Hamilton, Canada:

The Hamilton venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are John Henri (6 - 7) who hails from Burnaby, Canada and Michael Rust(46 - 17) from Toronto, Canada.  

Round 1: 

Rust is looking to close the distance.  Rust quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Rust drives a left hook into Henri's body.  Rust attempts to land a left hook, but Henri sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut.  
Rust manages to force Henri onto the ropes.  Rust pivots to the side of his opponent.  Henri tries to land a right hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a solid right hook.

Henri tries to step out of his opponents range and lands a cross, overhand right and a cross to his opponents head.
