Franco Cordoba vs Paco Brasil

Boxing Daily Report from the Mexico National Finals 2026,  taking place on 11/04/2026 from Chihuahua, Mexico:

The Chihuahua venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Franco Cordoba (5 - 15) who hails from Mexico City, Mexico and Paco Brasil(35(1) - 27) from Saltillo, Mexico.  

Round 1: 

Brasil hits home with a stinging cross.  
Brasil advances into close range.  Brasil pivots to the side of his opponent and hits home with a right uppercut.  
Cordoba gets on the inside and digs in a solid left uppercut to Brasil's body.  
Cordoba lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents body.

Brasil lands a right hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Brasil throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Cordoba digs in a left hook to Brasil's body.  
Cordoba steps inside and throws a left hook, but Brasil holds on to his opponent.  Brasil leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks Brasil's hold and signals for the fight to continue.
