Alejandro Rodarte vs Manuel Rego

Boxing Daily Report from the Brazil National Finals 2029,  taking place on 11/03/2029 from Manaus, Brazil:

The Manaus venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Alejandro Rodarte (2 - 5) who hails from Recife, Brazil and Manuel Rego(5 - 1) from Brasilia, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Rego lands a ramrod jab.

Rego pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a cross to his opponents body.  
Rego manages to force Rodarte into a neutral corner.  Rego lands a cross.

Rodarte tries to keep the action at long range and lands a jab to the body followed by a overhand left to the head.  
Rodarte is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with an overhand left.  
Rego closes the distance and walks Rodarte into the corner.  Rego connects with a right hook.  
Rego quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a right hook followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Rodarte tries to step out of his opponents range and connects with a stinging overhand left.

Rodarte switches the action to the outside and is on target with a firm cross.  
Rego drives a cross into his opponents body.  
Rodarte tries to land a jab, but Rego sidesteps and counters with a left uppercut to his opponents liver.  
Rego gets on the inside.  Rodarte lands a double left hook to his opponents head.
