Boxing Daily Report from the Cameroon National Finals 2034,  taking place on 11/03/2034 from Maroua, Cameroon:

The Maroua venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Light Welterweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Curtis Belan (8 - 12) who hails from Yaoundé, Cameroon and Granville Oubre(6(3) - 6) from Bamenda, Cameroon.  

Round 1: 

Belan is on target with a solid jab.  Belan attempts to land a cross, but Oubre blocks the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Belan sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Oubre lands a stinging cross to Belan's body.

Oubre walks Belan down, trapping him in the corner.  Oubre is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Oubre lands three consecutive left hooks to his opponents ribs.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the head and a right hook to the body, AND SENDS BELAN SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 7.  Belan now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Oubre crashes a spiteful left hook to his opponents body.  BELAN WAS STUNNED BY THAT SHOT!  
Oubre is looking to force the stoppage!  Oubre lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents body, AND BELAN IS DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  It looks like Belan has now recovered from that earlier bodyshot.  
Oubre lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the head.  Oubre clinches his opponent.  Oubre leans on his opponent using all his weight. Belan uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Oubre behind the head.

Oubre is on target with a sharp left uppercut to his opponents liver.  Oubre clinches his opponent.  As they grapple, Belan pushes his forearm into Oubre's face.  The referee breaks the clinch and warns Belan to stop fouling.

Belan throws a left hook, but Oubre clinches his opponent.  Oubre leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Oubre uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Belan behind the head. The ref separates the two fighters.  
Oubre lands a left hook to the head, a right hook to the body and a right hook to the head.  
Oubre throws a left uppercut, but is off-target.  Oubre holds on to his opponent.  Belan leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.

Oubre drives a left hook into his opponents body.  
Belan is looking desparately tired as he staggers back to his corner.  At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Belan's trainer is telling his fighter he needs a knockout to win!
