Oliver Usher vs Lewis Matundan

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 06/03/2035 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Oliver Usher (6 - 2) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Lewis Matundan(0 - 1) from San Jose del Monte, Philippines.  

Round 1: 

Usher steps to the outside and lands a cross followed by a jab to his opponents head.  
Matundan steps inside and lands a right hook.  
Usher lands a jab to the body, and then to the head.  
Matundan lands a cross.  
Matundan closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Matundan sidesteps to the left of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Usher lands a left hook.  
Usher lands a left hook to the body, a left uppercut to the head and a left hook to the head.  
Usher lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Matundan closes the distance.  Usher is on target with a left hook.  
Usher sidesteps to the right of his opponent.  Usher tries to land a left hook, but Matundan dodges the shot and counters with a left uppercut.  
Usher tries to keep the action at long range and is on target with a cross.  
Usher manages to force Matundan onto the ropes.  Usher pivots from in front of his opponent and is on target with a cross.  
Usher is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a double jab to his opponents head.  
Matundan lands a cross.  
Usher lands with a stiff jab.

Matundan lands a right hook.  
Matundan hits home with a left hook.  
Matundan walks Usher down, trapping him on the ropes.  Usher throws a short cross to the body, but lands low!  The ref stops the action and gives Matundan time to recover.  
Matundan pivots from in front of his opponent, but Usher snaps his opponents head back with a sharp jab.  
Matundan steps inside and manages to force Usher onto the ropes.  Matundan pivots to the right of his opponent, but Usher is on target with a left hook.  
Usher is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Matundan throws a cross, but his opponent sidesteps and counters with a left hook.  
Matundan pivots from in front of his opponent, but Usher drives a right hook into his opponents ribcage.
