Juan Menendez vs Sam Brown

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 07/12/2035 from Ponce, Puerto Rico:

The Ponce venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Juan Menendez (32 - 8) who hails from Ponce, Puerto Rico and Sam Brown(1 - 7) from Melbourne, Australia.  

Round 1: 

Menendez is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Brown gets on the inside and attempts to land a left uppercut, but Menendez sidesteps and counters with a right hook.  
Brown is on target with a cross.  
Menendez digs in a sharp left hook to Brown's body.  Menendez tries to land a left hook, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right hook to Menendez's body.

Menendez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent.  Brown throws an overhand left, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a left uppercut.

Menendez backs onto the ropes...he is waving his opponent in!  Brown attempts to land a cross, but Menendez blocks the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Brown closes the distance and connects with a solid right hook.  
Brown pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a left hook.  
Brown is on target with a right hook.  
Menendez lands a stinging jab.  
Menendez hits the target with a hard jab.  
Brown closes the distance.  Menendez digs in a left hook to his opponents ribs.
