Dai Whitten vs John Higgins

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 14/10/2036 from New York City, USA:

The New York City venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Dai Whitten (30 - 8) who hails from New York City, USA and John Higgins(2 - 4) from Milwaukee, USA.  

Round 1: 

Higgins digs in a sharp left hook to his opponents body.  
Higgins attempts to land a right uppercut, but Whitten slips the shot and counters with a solid cross.

Higgins throws a right hook, but Whitten clinches his opponent.  Higgins leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. Higgins pushes his forearm into Whitten's face.  The ref separates the two fighters.  
Whitten is looking to close the distance.  Higgins throws a right hook, but Whitten clinches his opponent.  The ref breaks Whitten's hold and signals for the fight to continue.

Higgins tries to land a left uppercut, but his opponent parries the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Whitten cuts off the ring, trapping Higgins in the blue corner.  Whitten is on target with a right hook.  
Whitten drives a right hook into Higgins's body.  
Higgins pivots from in front of his opponent and strikes his opponents body with a jab.  
Whitten gets on the inside.  Higgins throws a right uppercut, but Whitten ties up his opponent.  The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Whitten lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Whitten lands a sharp left hook.  
Whitten quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two consecutive left uppercuts to his opponents head.  
Higgins attempts to land a left hook, but Whitten sidesteps and counters with a cross.  
Whitten sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a left hook to the body, and then to the head, AND STUNS HIS OPPONENT!  Higgins almost instantly recovers. 
Whitten forces Higgins to back into the ropes.  Higgins lands a left hook.

Whitten throws a left hook, but his opponent steps away from the punch.  Whitten clinches his opponent.  Whitten leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Whitten sidesteps to the right of his opponent and digs in a left hook to his opponents body.  
Higgins finds the target with a jab.  
Whitten is on target with a left hook.  
Whitten is looking to close the distance and drives a right hook into Higgins's ribs.  
At the end of Round 2, lets listen in on the corners...Higgins's trainer is telling his fighter to go out and knock out his opponent!
