Adam Howells vs Alen Colgan

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 24/10/2036 from Nassau, Bahamas:

The Nassau venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Adam Howells (10 - 4) who hails from Nassau, Bahamas and Alen Colgan(0 - 5) from Portsmouth, UK.  

Round 1: 

Howells lands a left uppercut.  
Howells hits home with a left hook.  
Howells lands a firm cross.  
Colgan closes the distance and walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Colgan sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Howells lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head.  
Howells is looking to close the distance.  Colgan hits home with a left hook.  
Howells is on target with a firm left hook.  
Colgan throws a right uppercut, but Howells clinches his opponent.  Colgan leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Colgan advances into close range and is on target with a left hook to his opponents body.  Howells holds on to his opponent.  Howells uses his free hand to throw a hook, but it hits Colgan behind the head. As they grapple, Howells pushes his forearm into Colgan's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Howells about fouling.

Howells forces Colgan to retreat into a corner.  Howells is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Howells pivots to the side of his opponent and lands a right hook to the head, a left hook to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Howells tries to land a right uppercut, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a cross.  
Howells lands a left hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right hook to the body.

Colgan attempts to land an uppercut to the solar plexus, but he strays low!  The ref ignores Howells's complaints and signals for the action to continue.  
Howells is on target with a stinging cross.  
Colgan throws a right hook, but Howells clinches his opponent.  Howells tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Colgan's kidney. The referee breaks the clinch and warns Howells to stop fouling.  
Colgan sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Howells connects with a left hook.  
Howells steps inside and is on target with a solid right hook.  
Colgan connects with a left hook.
