Vince Monica vs Robert Phaup

Boxing Daily Report from the Amateur Boxing Club Challenge,  taking place on 29/01/2037 from Miami, USA:

The Miami venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  


Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Vince Monica (31(2) - 13) who hails from Gainesville, USA and Robert Phaup(0 - 1) from San Antonio, USA.  

Round 1: 

Monica gets on the inside and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  Monica tries to land a left hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Monica sidesteps to the right of his opponent, but Phaup drives a left hook into Monica's body.  
Monica manouvers Phaup onto the ropes.  Monica lands a right hook.  
Monica quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a left hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  
Monica lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Monica throws a right hook, but the shot lands on his opponents guard.  Monica holds on to his opponent.  Monica leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Monica drives a sharp left hook into Phaup's body.  Monica clinches his opponent.  Monica leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. As they grapple, Monica pushes his forearm into Phaup's face.  The ref breaks Monica's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Monica steps inside.  Monica pivots from in front of his opponent.  Monica attempts to land a right uppercut, but Phaup slips the shot and counters with a right hook.  
Monica hits home with a stinging left hook.  
Monica manouvers Phaup into the red corner.  Monica lands a right hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body.

Monica is on target with a solid right hook to Phaup's body.

Monica gets on the inside and drives a sharp left hook into his opponents liver.  
Monica lands a left hook to the body followed by a left uppercut to the head.  
Monica gets on the inside and digs in a right hook to his opponents body.  
Monica drives a left hook into Phaup's liver.
