Juan Anaya vs Rodrigo Montanez

Boxing Daily Report from the Argentina National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from Salta, Argentina:

The Salta venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Super Heavyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Juan Anaya (6 - 9(1)) who hails from La Plata, Argentina and Rodrigo Montanez(37(2) - 7) from Bahía Blanca, Argentina.  

Round 1: 

Montanez closes the distance.  Montanez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands two right hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Montanez lands two left hooks to the body, and one to the head.  
Montanez lands a left hook to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  Montanez attempts to land a left hook, but Anaya slips the shot and counters with a cross.  
Montanez sidesteps to the left of his opponent.  Montanez digs in a right hook to Anaya's ribcage.  Montanez throws a left hook, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Montanez steps inside.  Montanez pivots from in front of his opponent and lands a sharp left hook.  
Montanez pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a right uppercut to the head followed by a left hook to the body.  
Montanez lands a straight 1 - 2.  
Montanez closes the distance and cuts off the ring, trapping Anaya on the ropes.  Montanez pivots to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body, a right uppercut to the body and a left uppercut to the head.  
Montanez pivots to the side of his opponent.  Montanez lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  He then lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head, AND ANAYA IS DOWN!  He is back up on his feet at 5.  Montanez holds on to his opponent.  Montanez pushes his forearm into Anaya's face.  The referee warns Montanez and breaks the clinch.  
Anaya now appears to have recovered from that earlier shot.  
Anaya is looking to keep the action on the outside and lands a jab followed by a overhand right to his opponents head.  
Montanez closes the distance.  Montanez pivots to the side of his opponent.  Montanez lands a left hook followed by a left uppercut to his opponents head.  Montanez holds on to his opponent.  Anaya tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Montanez behind the head. 
Montanez manouvers Anaya onto the ropes.  Montanez pivots to the right of his opponent.  Anaya throws a left hook, but Montanez clinches his opponent.  Montanez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. The ref breaks the clinch and signals for the action to continue.  
Anaya steps to the outside.  Montanez lands a jab followed by a overhand left to his opponents head.  
Anaya finds the target with a stiff jab.  
Anaya is looking to keep the action on the outside and strikes his opponents body with a cross.  
Montanez gets on the inside.  Montanez retreats back to the ropes, and waits for his opponent to attack.  Anaya steps in throwing power shots but is unable to land cleanly.  
Anaya tries to keep the action at long range.  Anaya lowers his guard, attempting to draw a lead.  Montanez snaps his opponents head back with a ramrod jab.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Montanez's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Anaya attempts to land a cross, but Montanez slips the shot and counters with a firm right uppercut.  
Montanez hits home with a cross.  
Anaya is on target with a solid left hook to Montanez's liver.  
Montanez lands a hard jab.  
Montanez attempts to land a jab, but Anaya sidesteps and counters with a left hook to Montanez's body.

Anaya steps away from his opponent and finds the target with a jab.  
Montanez whips in a mean left hook to his opponents ribs.  IT LOOKS LIKE ANAYA WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  
Anaya is looking to keep his distance.  Anaya could be stopped here, if Montanez can find the right shot!  Montanez lands a left hook to the head followed by two right hook's to the body.  He then lands three consecutive right hooks to his opponents ribs, KNOCKING ANAYA DOWN!  He fails to beat the count!  The winner by KO is Montanez!
