Francisco Simoes vs Xavion Ferraz

Boxing Daily Report from the Brazil National Finals 2037,  taking place on 11/03/2037 from Recife, Brazil:

The Recife venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Featherweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Francisco Simoes (9(1) - 5) who hails from Goiania, Brazil and Xavion Ferraz(14 - 4) from Sao Paulo, Brazil.  

Round 1: 

Simoes steps inside.  Simoes quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and lands a left uppercut, right hook and a right uppercut to his opponents head.  
Ferraz pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ferraz attempts to land a jab, but Simoes sidesteps and counters with a solid left hook.  
Simoes leans back on the ropes...he waves his opponent in!  Ferraz tries to land a left hook, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a firm left uppercut.  
Simoes lands a jab, cross and a jab to his opponents head.  
Ferraz lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Ferraz throws a cross, but his opponent blocks the shot and counters with a firm cross.

Simoes closes the distance and is on target with a solid right hook to his opponents ribcage.  
Ferraz steps to the outside and tries to land a jab, but Simoes sidesteps and counters with a sharp left hook.  
Ferraz pivots to the left of his opponent.  Ferraz tries to land a jab, but Simoes dodges the shot and counters with a solid left hook.  
Ferraz pivots to the right of his opponent and hits home with a stinging right hook.  
Ferraz pivots to the left of his opponent and drives a stinging left hook into his opponents body.  
Ferraz pivots to the left of his opponent, but Simoes lands two consecutive straights to his opponents head.  
Simoes is looking to keep his distance and lands a ramrod jab.  
Ferraz feints a left, and then attempts to land a jab, but Simoes sidesteps and counters with a solid left uppercut.

Simoes closes the distance.  Ferraz sidesteps to the right of his opponent and lands a sharp right hook.  
Simoes steps to the outside and EXPLODES a WICKED overhand right into his opponents face.  FERRAZ IS SENT SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  
At the end of Round 1, lets listen in on the corners...Simoes's trainer is telling his fighter he is a mile in front and not to do anything stupid.

Ferraz attempts to land an overhand right, but Simoes sidesteps and counters with a cross.

Simoes connects with a FIERCE overhand right.  FERRAZ IS HURT!  Ferraz quickly recovers.

Ferraz throws a cross, but his opponent slips the shot and counters with a stinging left hook.

Simoes is on target with a FIERCE cross.  FERRAZ IS HURT!  
Simoes connects with a spiteful cross.  It looks like Ferraz has now recovered from that shot earlier.

Simoes is looking to keep the action on the outside and is on target with a cross.  
Simoes switches the action to the outside and hits the target with a ramrod jab.
