The Tamale venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Quarter Final fight in the Lightweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Joshua Akamba (8 - 6(1)) who hails from Accra, Ghana and Mark Asamoah(19(9) - 6) from Kumasi, Ghana.

Asamoah closes the distance.  Akamba hits home with a left hook.  
Asamoah lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  Asamoah holds on to his opponent.  Akamba pushes his forearm into Asamoah's face.  The ref halts the action and breaks the clinch.  He lectures Akamba about fouling.  
Akamba sidesteps to the left of his opponent, but Asamoah finds the target with a jab.

Asamoah lands a right hook to the head followed by two left uppercut's to the body, KNOCKING AKAMBA DOWN!  He beats the count, getting up at 4.  
Asamoah is looking to put the pressure on now...he knows a few clean shots could mean an early night.  Asamoah is on target with a telling right hook to his opponents body.  DOWN GOES AKAMBA!  He is on his feet as the count reaches 4.  Akamba now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.

Asamoah lands a right hook followed by a right uppercut to his opponents body.  Asamoah clinches his opponent.  Asamoah leans on his opponent trying to wear him down. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Asamoah crashes a DEVASTATING right hook to Akamba's ribs.  AKAMBA HAS BEEN KNOCKED DOWN!  THE REF DOES NOT EVEN BOTHER WITH THE COUNT...HE'S SEEN ENOUGH AND HAS STOPPED THE FIGHT!  The fight has been stopped!  The winner by TKO is Asamoah!
