Destin Breton vs Landry Barthez

Boxing Daily Report from the Ivory Coast National Finals 2037,  taking place on 26/03/2037 from Bouake, Ivory Coast:

The Bouake venue is completely packed out with the fans turning out in force to watch the fights on offer tonight.  
Next up we have a Semi Final fight in the Light Flyweight divison.  

Looking to impress the boxing fans in attendance, the two fighters competing in this 3 round matchup are Destin Breton (4 - 10(2)) who hails from Abobo, Ivory Coast and Landry Barthez(18 - 6) from Abidjan, Ivory Coast.  

Round 1: 

Barthez gets on the inside.  Barthez sidesteps to the left of his opponent and lands a left uppercut to the body followed by a right hook to the head.  
Barthez lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Breton's kidney. The referee warns Barthez and breaks the clinch.  
Barthez closes the distance and lands a left hook to the head followed by a right hook to the body.  
Barthez lands a left hook to the body, a right hook to the head and a left uppercut to the body.  Barthez ties up his opponent.  Barthez tries to make the space to throw a hook, but hits Breton's kidney. The ref breaks Barthez's hold and signals for the fight to continue.  
Barthez gets on the inside.  Barthez pivots to the side of his opponent.  Breton throws a left hook, but Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez pushes his forearm into Breton's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Barthez.  
Barthez manouvers his opponent into the blue corner.  Barthez lands a right hook to the body, a left hook to the head and a right uppercut to the body, AND HIS OPPONENT IS HURT!  
Breton now seems to have recovered from the bodyshot.  
Barthez is on target with a right hook to his opponents ribs.  
Barthez lands a right hook.  
Barthez is on target with a right uppercut to his opponents ribcage.  
Breton steps away from his opponent.  Barthez connects with a stinging cross.  
Breton is on target with an overhand right.  
Breton lands a jab to his opponents body.  
Barthez is on target with a right hook.  
Breton tries to keep the action at long range.  Barthez lands a jab followed by  two straights to his opponents head.  
Barthez lands a left hook followed by a right hook to his opponents head.  
Barthez steps inside.  Breton throws a right hook, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a right uppercut.  
Barthez lands a left uppercut.  
Breton switches the action to the outside.  Barthez connects with a cross.  
Breton steps away from his opponent.  Barthez lands an overhand right, jab and a cross to his opponents head.  
Barthez quickly sidesteps from in front of his opponent and hits home with a right hook.

Barthez steps inside.  Breton throws a left hook, but Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez leans on his opponent using all his weight. The ref calls break and the two fighters separate.  
Breton tries to step out of his opponents range and throws a cross, but his opponent dodges the shot and counters with a left hook.  
Barthez is looking to close the distance.  Barthez sidesteps to the right of his opponent and is on target with a left hook.  
Barthez closes the distance and lands a right hook followed by a left hook to his opponents head.  
Barthez gets on the inside and walks his opponent onto the ropes.  Barthez pivots to the left of his opponent and hits home with a sharp right hook.  
Breton lands with a sharp jab.  
Barthez closes the distance and lands a double left hook to his opponents head.  
Barthez walks his opponent down, trapping him on the ropes.  Barthez slams a nasty right hook into Breton's ribcage.  IT LOOKS LIKE BRETON WAS HURT BY THAT SHOT!  Barthez holds on to his opponent.  Barthez is leaning on his opponent in the clinch. Breton pushes his forearm into Barthez's face.  The referee separates the two fighters and warns Breton.  Breton recovers before his opponent can take advantage. 
Barthez lands a right hook to the body followed by a left hook to the head.  HE HAS HIS OPPONENT IN TROUBLE!  
Breton is looking to keep his distance.  Barthez knows it could take just a few clean shots to force the stoppage.  Barthez lands a left hook, left uppercut and a right uppercut to his opponents body.  
Barthez closes the distance.  Barthez lands consecutive right uppercuts to his opponents body.  He continues the combination and lands a left uppercut followed by a right hook to his opponents body, AND SENDS BRETON SPRAWLING TO THE CANVAS!  He is still struggling to his feet as the count reaches 10!  The winner by KO is Barthez!
